Some Thoughts on Copper
When we moved back into the house a friend with a moving business (Will) kindly helped us. He has done this kind of work for over 20 years and his knowledge and skill came across enormously. It sounds ridiculous but it really did. He has perfected the art of squeezing valuable items through doors and around corners with the utmost care and respect.
Parallel to his business he is an exercise hound (think ultra-sports and martial arts) and so I thought it would be a nice gesture to gift him one of our Maxwell Copper bracelets as an additional thank you. He has never worn jewellery ever (barely even a watch). We chatted about mens jewellery, when, where, and how to wear it. We also chatted about copper as a material as I am a strong believer of its benefits to us as humans on a physical level.
Two weeks later we caught up and he was waxing lyrical about the bracelet. Firstly it had made his wrist a little green initially, but this settled after a week or so. This to me is a positive. It shows that the mineral of copper (something we need in our system just like Iron) is reacting with, and permeating his skin. This discolouration is a consequence of skin oils, air and moisture tarnishing the copper. We intentionally leave our copper raw and un-lacquered for both environmental and health benefits. Our skin gets used to the copper and vice versa after a short time, and this greening settles nicely.
Secondly he commented on how he has not taken it off since he was given it (which is a huge compliment) and that he genuinely feels the benefits of it in the form of energy levels and muscle / bone health. We chuckled over the 'placebo effect' but then both agreed that it does make sense and that if its working for him then that can only be a good thing!
Whatever you think about coppers medicinal characteristics, owning or gifting copper jewellery that has further potential, surely can only be a bonus!
