A collaboration between Alice Made This and Esquire, each pair of the Bayley Orange cufflinks are totally unique. Each piece is precision turned in aerospace grade brass and artistically hand decorated with London based patina artist Derek Bayley. Informed by ancient patina techniques a combination of titanium oxide, potassium sulphide, and cadmium orange is oxidised through atmospheric exposure and expertly layered by hand to create a complex and beautiful surface finish.
The 2019 edition of the Esquire Edit also features:
- Shoes by Esquire x Crockett & Jones (£420)
A riff on the Northampton shoemaker’s peerless Lanark III derby, these lace-ups are equipped with a “cleated” rubber sole and an upper cut from Crockett & Jones’s super-tough “Rough-Out” suede
- Socks by Esquire x The Workers Club (£20)
Knitted in England by utility clothing experts The Workers Club, these off-white, combed cotton socks have a distinctly retro feel
- Trainers by Esquire x Grenson (£195)
Based on the ultra-clean lines of Seventies tennis shoes, this Trainer ESQ is an interpretation of Grenson’s Sneaker 1, the first in its 150-year history. Perfect white is finished with Esquire orange on the tongue and heel
- Beanie by Esquire x Lock & Co. (£195)
The softness of the Escorial wool used in this beanie belies its resilience, making it one of the soundest, warmest investments readers will make. For further autumnal colour, turn up the fold for a flash of Esquire orange
- Shirt by Esquire x Turnbull & Asser (£195)
Maker of the finest shirts in the world, Turnbull & Asser has been in operation since 1885, with its Jermyn Street flagship opening in 1903. This tailored fit 2-button shirt in a lightweight cotton strikes the perfect balance between smart and casual
- Jacket by Esquire x Belstaff (£450)
An icon of British menswear since its inception back in 1948, this particular Belstaff Trialmaster is cut from super-hardwearing, water resistant, 6oz waxed cotton in bronze oak, a colour which is only available via the Esquire Edit
- Holdall by Esquire x Bennett Winch (£650)
Thanks to its ingenious design, Bennett Winch’s holdall allows a suit to be packed without having to be folded and stuffed into a case. It’s the perfect carry-on luggage, cut from heavyweight, British-dyed, waterproof canvas
- Jeans by Esquire x Hawksmill (£145)
14.5oz raw indigo organic selvedge denim woven by Isko is cut in British Denim brand Hawksmill’s classic Slim Taper fit. The Esquire orange is woven into the selvedge
- Cardholder by Esquire x William & Son (£80)
Discreet and timelessly stylish, William & Son’s Prince cardholder has been pepped up with Esquire orange detailing, while the navy “Mojisere” leather gives it strength and suppleness in equal measure
